Bio

Jodi Townsend, MS
Health and Fitness Specialist

Jodi Townsend, MS, has worked in the health and fitness field since 1988 and holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in exercise science.  As the owner of Healthy Lifestyles, she provides personal training, group fitness instruction and weight management counseling to individuals and groups throughout southeastern Michigan.  She is a national presenter of various health and fitness topics and is an ACE certified group instructor.  She is also the executive producer of Workout with Calli’s Club, a children’s exercise video.

Jodi has done extensive research and coursework in the areas of youth fitness, sports conditioning, strength training, sport psychology, and the various factors that revolve around weight management.  She has developed fitness and wellness programs for numerous organizations. Additionally, she has been involved in a number of community health programs designed to enhance wellness throughout populations ranging from general community members, to children and seniors.

Jodi has recently launched The Home Fitness Collection; a complete line of high quality fitness equipment and programming for the entire family.  Whether you are a beginner or you want to improve sports performance, Jodi wants to provide you with the education, motivation and direction you need.

As an entrepreneur, wife and mother of three, Jodi understands the challenges of incorporating health and fitness into a busy life.  Jodi’s goal is to meet you where you are on your path to better health and wellness and inspire you to where you want to go.
